As a Newark native, child of immigrants, and champion of working people, I’m honored to represent District 29 in the New Jersey Assembly and serve as Chair of the Budget Committee. I’ve passed laws to create jobs, improve water quality, fund family planning centers, and protect victims of intimate partner violence.

 Protecting Reproductive Freedom

While Republicans are trying to criminalize abortion, Democrats are fighting to protect abortion rights and funds for family planning.

It's important that you vote in the upcoming 2024 elections in June and November. We need to stand together against the threats we face to our democracy.

 Upholding

Democratic Values

While dangerous MAGA Republicans try to hinder access to voting and undermine the American electoral process, we must keep up our struggle to ensure a more representative and equal America for all.

 Lowering Costs

for Newark Families

Democrats are working tirelessly to ease the burden of rising costs for working families. We’re capping the cost of insulin, lowering prescription drug costs, and ensuring access to affordable healthcare.

Rob Menendez for Congress

As a Hudson County native, Rob understands his constituents’ needs. Since he was first elected, he has brought in more than $11 billion in federal funding for his district to improve transportation, the environment, and public spaces. As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, he advocated for greater access to mass transit for his district’s residents, resulting in the largest-ever mass transit grant in American history. On the Committee on Homeland Security, Rob advocates for cybersecurity improvements and a humanistic, appropriate strategy for addressing the southern border. He aims to continue spreading his values of respect, equality, and hard work with New Jersey’s diverse population following re-election.

Amir Jones for Sheriff

Amir Jones currently serves as Essex County’s Senior Undersheriff. With over 12 years of law enforcement experience, his commitment to public safety and active community engagement has delivered active results. During his time as Undersheriff, Essex County has seen a 40% reduction in crime, nearly 500 guns and assault rifles seized, and approximately $5 million in illegal narcotics taken off the streets. His priorities as Essex County’s Sherrif include fostering community relationships, supporting vulnerable citizens struggling with addiction or mental illness, and developing youth programs to divert at-risk children. Amir Jones as sheriff will create a more engaged, safer community for all Essex residents.

Hon. Juan M. Rivera, Jr.

for Essex County Register of Deeds and Mortgages

The Hon. Juan M. Rivera, Jr., has dedicated most of his adult life to public service. Juan’s service in Newark and Essex County long precedes his current role, and he has used his multiple positions to advocate for the needs of his constituents and improve the place he calls home.
